Student A.M. Tardies

Being five minutes tardy each day is equivalent to 75 hours lost in a school year! Our morning bell rings at 8:00 and students should be in their seats and working at 8:05. Tardy students must report to the office for a tardy slip prior to reporting to class. An example of an excused tardy is a doctor’s appointment (doctor’s note required). A parent/child sleeping late, student missing the bus, car trouble, forgotten homework and other circumstances such as these are considered unexcused tardies. Every 3 tardies accrued will result in a written referral and a loss of morning recess (detention) for your student. Parents can help by getting your student to school on time to avoid classroom interruption, learning delays & detention for your student.
